“My Ever-Changing World”

Prior to the year 2000 (a.k.a.Y2K), I had been an assistant Network and Exchange Administrator for a Japanese Pharmaceutical Shionogi Qualicaps. This was my first computer job following the completion of my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). While working there I was in charge of twenty-five networked servers, which also, included the Exchange mail servers. My motivation for obtaining my MCSE steamed from working as a calibrations technician for the past seven years where I ran a machine that simulated the gas pumps for gasoline. In spite of my efforts to move up in the company I soon realized that I had hit the glass ceiling. One night I was reading the newspaper stumbled upon an ad that read Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). A well-respected college right down the road from where I worked was holding an information session for anyone who wanted more information. Even though I had no idea what Microsoft or becoming a network administrator was I figured it could be my ticket out of my factory job that promised me nothing but a stent of working until retirement running a machine on second shift. Needless, to say I attended the workshop, signed up plus got my company to reimburse me for completing the computer Bootcamp.

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for – and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool – for love – for your dreams – for the adventure of being alive.

Oriah Mountain Dreamer

The Campaigner personality is a true free spirit. They are often the life of the party, but unlike types in the Explorer Role group, Campaigners are less interested in the sheer excitement and pleasure of the moment than they are in enjoying the social and emotional connections they make with others. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, the 7% of the population that they comprise can certainly be felt in any crowd.

Have you ever Managed anyone before?

Yes, I have once when I was a Blackboard Systems Administrator I managed two student workers. I drew up their job descriptions and participated in the hiring process. I also oversaw all of their duties. Also, I managed an intern and a temporary worker while reconfiguring Cornerstone -OnDemand for the National Institute of School Leadership located at 2000 Pennsylvanian Avenue in Washington, DC.

In addition, I ran a commercial Cleaning Service for 7 years where I had 4 part-time and 2 full-time employees. Once I got burned out I sold the company and decided to pursue my Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Education; concentration in Training and Development for Industry.

What is your Communication Style?

My Communication Style is Action and Person orientated as "ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION"  is a style in which individuals clearly state their opinions and  feelings, and firmly advocate for their rights and needs without violating the rights of others. These individuals value themselves, their time, and their emotional, spiritual, and physical needs and are strong advocates for themselves while being very respectful of the rights of others.

What is your Management Style?

My leadership/Project management style is the combination of Agile and Scrum Methodology.
Decision-Making Styles: Autocratic
Makes decisions without input. This leadership style is seldom warranted, unless the PM clearly knows more about the subject matter and has immature and inexperienced team members. That
is seldom the case, and if it is true the PM has made poor selections for team members? A PM
who uses an autocratic style outside a ‘life or death emergency’ project should re‐examine her/his overall methodology and motivation.
Activity Management Styles: Empowering
Gives team members authority and tools to do their jobs. This is similar to a coach but is less focused on teaching and directing. In contrast to a Directive style, the Empowering PM asks team members to make decisions, to choose tasks, and even to determine how those tasks are done. This PM evaluates the maturity and skill of individual team members and gives them appropriate levels of authority and freedom to accomplish the project goals. An Empowering PM helps team members learn skills needed to accomplish project goals or acquire needed tools to
do their jobs.

One of the many challenging experiences during my graduate process came when I took Principles of Adult Education. Now, this may not sound like it would have been a challenge but let me tell you it was. The professor designed the layout of this course completely different than what I had been used to. For example, the class was broken up into four mini group or cohorts that worked together from the beginning to the end, including all assignments. Each week groups for unstructured to read the required resources, then meet weekly with your prospective group member and before meeting each week we were given a schedule of rotating characterizes of our choosing where we wore the hat of the Devil's Advocate, and keeper of the Talker  Stick.

The purpose of the design project is to collaborate with peers to craft a modern training and development
strategy using active learning techniques (using both training and non-training strategies).

Given the particulars of the project as described below, work with your assigned team to craft a
comprehensive, active new hire training and development program for Welcome Inne.
